So Far…

Celtic have won 16 out of 24 SPL games. Drawing 4, Losing 4. Scoring 52 and conceding 17.

Celtic have won 7 out of 10 Champions league games. Drawing 1, Losing 2. Scoring 17 and conceding 9.

Tom Rogić is a Celtic player.

Celtic have officially confirmed Tom Rogic has signed for the club, pending a work permit. Rogic seems to be held in very high regard and at 20 is another very good capture for Celtic as they build on the young talented side.

With the signing of the Australian Midfielder & the loan of Rami Gershon Celtic have completed their core aims in this transfer window, but I do not believe they are finished yet. I think we could still see Juan Agudelo & at a lesser degree Juwon Oshaniwa being linked heavily with us. However both are also linked with other clubs. We shall of course see what happens.

Exciting times.

Joe Ledley (25), Gary Hooper (24), Beram Kayal (24), Fraser Foster (24), Tony Watt (19), Adam Matthews (20), Dylan McGeouch (19), Victor Wanyama (21), Efe Ambrose (24) & Recently Rami Gershon (24). When you look at the players Neil Lennon has brought to Celtic with the help of John Park, David Moss and others it’s very encouraging. Some other names being lined up in this winters transfer window are Juan Agudelo (20), Tom Rogic (20) & Juwon Oshaniwa (22).

Dark horse Oshaniwa I must declare I know very little about added to Juan Agudelo described as “One of the best talents to come from the MLS” & Tom Rogic who is regarded very highly in Australia and overseas. I think Celtic have finally found the winning formula when considering players to bring to Glasgow. It seems the practice of identifying young talent in lesser scouted nations is paying off big time for Celtic.

With the last 16 game of the champions league against Juventus looming in February who in there right minds would have thought Celtic would have qualified from a group that included Barcelona, Spartak Moskva & Benfica. Of course we are all delighted to be in this position and many Celtic fans are now looking to see what else Celtic are capable of with this very talented young team.

Of course it’s not just the champions league Celtic are looking to win, being top of the SPL and in the two domestic cups Celtic will have to prove yet again that we are capable of challenging on all 4 fronts to win trophy’s. Someone we shall not mention once famously said “You cannot win anything with kids”. With this current batch of players and the great work of out academy Celtic are looking like they will.

More than likely Celtic will be taking a look at more players and listening to Peter Lawwell & Neil Lennon recently we could be in line to see a “marquee” signing before the end of January “if the right player comes along”.

As usual I and my team of highly trained monkeys shall keep you up to date with the latest comings and goings from Celtic Park with a smattering of CSC information, news & nonsense.

Hail Hail

New Celtic Shirt Sponsors.

I’m sure you have seen the news by now that Celtic have announced a deal with Magners to sponsor the the team for three years from the beginning of the 13/14 season. The deal is in excess for £1.5 million per season. Speaking about the deal and the exclusion of dead clubs, Peter Lawwell said “We have our own story and traditions, a very powerful offering to a sponsor. I don’t really want to talk about other clubs. We are on our own, we are not defined by any other club. We are Celtic, with our own values and tradition.” Bravo! Good riddance to any link with that ex club who indulged in a sectarian policy for 100+ years.

Here is an expected look at the new shirt with the new sponsors.

Notice the two stars? We are on our way to Wembley!

New Sponsorship deal?

Celtic have called a ‘major’ press conference at Celtic Park 09/01/13 at 15:00 to end the rampant speculation as to whom will be shirt sponsors for the foreseeable future. Many Celtic fans, myself included would like to see an end to joint sponsorship with the newco in division 3. Although I have no further insight into this ‘major’ deal I feel confident that Celtic have the clout to go it alone and once and for all end the vile joint sponsorship with the dead club that brings down our good name.

We shall of course find out later out new sponsors, so until then, keep an eye on our twitter feed.

hearts v The Mighty Glasgow Celtic (28/11/12) Post Match

Tonight Celtic went on a mission as they battered hearts 4-0 with goals from Nouioui in the 10th min, Lustig in the 22nd, a sweet OG from Stevenson on the 30th min & Hooper in the 82nd .

Fraser Forster & Mikael Lustig were on scintillating form. Forster looked invincible as he saved anything that came near his goal line with a majestic save from the penalty hearts were awarded. Lustig was all over the hearts defense in the first half causing great defensive problems for the financially challenged Gorgie outfit.

As much as it was utterly delightful watching Celtic run riot over hearts ripping them into multiple wee bits, the game was spoiled by the pathetically inept refereeing by Willie “eyes on the back of his head” Gollum.

“They shall not pass.” – Fraser Foster.

“It was a great performance, clinical first half at a good tempo and it was a cracking atmosphere.”

– Neil Lennon; on Celtic’s win tonight.

Attention now moves to the Scottish cup 4th round match against Arbroath at Celtic Park on the 1st December. Until then, Cheerio the noo.
